RK-83: Scientific Graphing Calculator App Reviews

Thanks for the update! It still needs multitasking though!!! Calculators are the kind of thing you like to be able to take out and get an answer from quickly, and currently it takes a while to load. Also, Id like to see what one reviewer put in to get the output to say "your mum". I havent been able to reproduce this, so Im skeptical.

So I downloaded this app for a statistics class and even a simple task such as calculating means is not possible. Also the standard deviation task is also "YOUR MUM"ing me! Ughhhh is there an update or an I just inputting the data wrong? Please help I really want this app to work for me!

Ive been wanting a calculator app with a TI-83 interface for years now, and this is exactly what I had in mind. So far, Im thrilled.

If you (like I was) are looking for an app that NOT ONLY looks like a TI-83 AND has all the capabilities of one, this isnt it! And you know what? Youre not going to find it (at least legally). For that to occur, permission is required from Texas Instruments, and I frankly dont see them passing up selling you a $100 calculator for a $2 iPhone app.

Thought it was bad design at first then I realized this is a poorly conceived CS project that cant even do the basics and the creator eventually just said f it im gonna go get high. Lets say you want to do 2+1 then hit enter. The output should be 3 and if you want to continue and multiply this normally you just hit "x" and it would say "ans x". It doesnt do this. Also theres the "your mum" output on stat functions. Entering the URL for the website fails but when I google it then link through there it comes up but the page is pretty sparse.

Not only does the app lack a large amour of the capabilities of a full size calculator, it gives the wrong graphs. Theyll be in entirely the wrong spot, and not even parabolic. Theres always a little flat hink that moves around as you zoom in and out. Do not buy.

I payed .99 cents for a calculator that does not work, which is not a lot of money. I suggest that if you need something really bad just go buy it. Somethings we just have to compromise.

Says (√(-2))^2 = an imaginary number. Cant even do basic calculations correctly. Dont waste your money. Try Symbolic Calculator, PocketCAS, or WolframAlpha – Much better alternatives.

This calculator struggles to do some of the basics. I got it for chemistry but exponents on this thing are just a headache.

Waste of a dollar. Primary fail message displays for almost every entry. Maybe the input is incorrect, but the interface is so inconvenient that I would rather do the math in my head.

Still love this app, using it for college.

This calculator is the best. It allows you to enter whole expressions like the TI-83 we all know and love (students anyway). Please optimize this app for iPhone 5. That is the only thing separating my rating from 5 star.

Heres an if-then review: IF a calculator gives an output of "your mum", THEN it is dies not function as advertised. I would like a refund, and I urge the devs to either fix their program, or give me me my function money back. :( boo hiss.

The graphing function is better than any other app I have seen.

This app is very poorly created. When you go to "MATH" and try to work out statistic problems it solves you by replying "your mum" I think theyre just stealing our money. They need to fix this or else people will be getting mad, like me.

I downloaded this app in an attempt to avoid buying/borrowing a real ti-83 for algebra 2. Im currently running ios 7.0.4 and I can type equations into the y= section, but when I press graph the app exits and crashes. I admire the attempted resemblance and similar button layout af a typical graphing calculator, but the fact is it didnt even graph my equations. Complete waste of my 99 cents.

Terrible app!!! Crashes everytime I try to graph! DO NOT GET APP!!!

What a waste of money!! Force closed every time I tried to "graph". That makes a graphing calculator pretty useless!!

Not a ti-83 replacement. Just so bad. I want my .99 cents back.
